Welcome to our Glee Mixtapes – songs and tunes we like recorded by people singing and playing on camp, sound edited and volume adjusted to give you a lovely listening experience.
This is in response to requests from those of you who wanted to listen to people singing FSC songs. You can download these Mixtapes to your phone and play wherever you like: learning the words in the shower, cooking at stores, driving to camp, escort coach, shopping for waterproofs, whittling sticks in your garden – you name it.
The Country Dancing Mixtape is ideal for learning to play the tunes we dance to on camp – once you have learned the tune, you can play along to the recordings and if you’ve got them downloaded as a mixtape, you can slow down the speed to help you learn.
You can listen on iTunes or other laptop players, but for the best listening experience, download an audiobook player such as BookPlayer or SmartAudioBookPlayer (linked below) onto your phone. In these apps the separate songs appear in a “chapterised” list meaning you can see what’s coming next and skip between songs. They are also carplay and bluetooth compatible and you can slow down the music.
Note: some iPhone chrome users have reported issues downloading the Mixtape files themselves: it may be simplest to download on a laptop and WhatsApp to your phone. Or check ‘files’ on your phone in case the Mixtapes have downloaded to there instead. If you have issues, drop Emily or Jon an email on ejekerr@gmail.com and jonboden@me.com and we’ll help.
